Disable Contents
Hello, just wondering if there is a way to have the "Contents" box not show up on my aticle page. It showed up automatically when I used headings, but I do not really like it as I don't think it looks very nice. thanks

Re: Possible Copyright Violation
Hi, my name is Keara Smith and you asked me about the picture that was on my content page. I was so busy with the page that the part about the copyrights slipped my mind. I have removed the picture from my page but I wasnt sure how to delete it. Thanks for your help.

re: coypyright infringement
Hi Pete,
I am writing to you about the message you sent reguarding my WIKI article/Ch. 12.6.3 How Children Set Goals and Monitor Their Learning. I did forget to cite the cartoon that I submitted. Is it to late to cite the cartoon and will that be correct or should I go ahead and delete the cartoon?
Thank you,
Kathy Williams :)
Pete - I just checked this page for the first time .YOu're scaring me! I thught bwecause the source was named under the graph that it would not violate copyright laws. If I listed it as a reference, would that work? Jmcco019 01:19, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Pete - I have done my peer review and it is uploaded. I just can't figure out where to put it and how. It is listed under files. We need to link it. But how? Jmcco019 01:22, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Re: Copyright Infringement
Sorry, completely forgot about the copyright rules. I took down the picture!!! Thanks, Cples001 18:02, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
COPYRIGHT ISSUE
Hi Pete,
I got this image off the apple.com website. I went on their website and down at the bottom there is link for "Terms of Use."
After reading the paragraph below, I thought it would be okay. But if it is not, please let me know so I can remove the picture.
You may use information on Apple products and services (such as data sheets, knowledge base articles, and similar materials) purposely made available by Apple for downloading from the Site, provided that you (1) not remove any proprietary notice language in all copies of such documents, (2) use such information only for your personal, non-commercial informational purpose and do not copy or post such information on any networked computer or broadcast it in any media, (3) make no modifications to any such information, and (4) not make any additional representations or warranties relating to such documents.
Hi Pete, I did site the picture under the reference, is that still a copyright violation. If it is I will remove it. It was from this site Learning Matters. (2009). Evaluating Picture. Retrived October 11, 2009 from www.learningmatters.tv/blog/op-ed/re-evaluating-teacher-evaluations/2611/. So let me know

Thank you Peter or Pete (which on do you prefer?). I also have a question for you. When I signed up for article peer reviews I think I signed up incorrectly since I can not click on peer review for articles 12.6.2 and 12.6.3 Is it possible for you to take a look at it for me and see what I did wrong and leave me a message on how to fix it.

Picture issue
Hey Pete, is Cples001. The picture is from my friend's Flickr account and I was able to use it with permission. Thanks!
Cples001 01:58, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, after you told me about the last picture I was more careful this time around. His name is Adrian Gibbons and this is work from his photography studio. He was the photographer at my wedding. He is a real professional. I told him it was for a school project and he had no problems with it. But thank you anyways.

The picture that I used for the technology chapter I found on an educational website (.edu) so that is why I thought I could use it. Here is the website : www.doit.wisc.edu/.../jan09/studentsWant.jpg Thanks! Akoch007 16:40, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Chapter 4 introduction -copyright question
The picture that I posted on the Chapter 4 chapter introduction I got from Washington.org. I thought that I was told that pictures from the government website were ok to use. If not, please let me know and I will replace it immediately. I did put that it came from Washington.org under the picture to show that it came from the government website. I thought the pictures from the government website were ok to use. Please let me know. Sbowd007 22:43, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Chapter 4 introduction -copyright question
Thanks. I will try to find another picture. I am sorry. I thought I had the right government site. I am trying to do the introduction by myself because my partner will not respond or participate. It hasn't been easy. Thanks. Sbowd007 18:06, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

OK for me to create a template in main area?
Hi, thanks for asking about the sandbox. I was able to work with a userbox template when I created the template in the main area of WiTTIE. I was able to edit it in my sandbox, but I deleted that template because I wasn't sure if it was OK to create it in the main area. I'm trying now to paste template code in a page off of my user page so it wouldn't be in the main area. The editor keeps stripping some of the code when I paste it on this page (even when I paste into wikitext). Thanks for your help! --Ms.stern 23:20, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
<noinclude><pre> </noinclude>surroundingfrom one of your existing templates helped when I used it with a different code template (from wikibooks not Wikipedia). Maybe I was missing an ending tag of the code from Wikipedia...Thanks for taking a look at it. I think it would be helpful to have templates available for participants.
Copyright Questions
Hi Pete,
This is about the picture in the introduction of chapter 8. I got the picture from wikimedia commons and the link is http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Teacher.jpg. On the site it stated that the picture was public domain. Should I have cited it? Not sure, let me know if I need to change anything.

Hey Pete, I finished my Multi-media project via movie maker! It wasen't that easy and I had to do it several times and really play around with movie maker, but I got it perfect and saved it to my desk top on my computer. The issue now, is how to embed it into utube and put it in our book! I did read the tutorials and still could not completely understand the process. If I did it a couple of times I would get it , just like I did with movie maker. After our little one on one session, I went home and played around with the stuff you taught me and eventually got it where I wanted it! Now I need help with the rest. Do you think you could walk me through it over the phone?

I never noticed the gun actually. However I did not consider it offensive (even with the gun), but now that you have pointed out that it could be considered offensive I took it down and put up a different picture. Thanks for pointing it out to me :D I never would've noticed otherwise!
Copyright Questions
Hey Pete!
It seems you get a lot of question concerning copyright issues. Just wondering if after all of this if you're considered a copyright lawyer by now?
Have a good day!
p.s. Thanks for the welcome!

Music Festivals
Thanks for my first comment on my discussion board!! I went to All Good last year actually, and it passed by like a sweet dream :) The year before (2008) I attended Virgin Mobile Festival in Baltimore, which was a great mix of music. This summer I will be going to Wakarusa in Arkansas and Camp Barefoot! Music festivals are such a passion; there is no better way to spend a weekend than camping out, listening to great music, and meeting great people! All Good is definitely worth it if you can make it! This year will be my first time going to Wakarusa but the line up is too amazing to pass up!! :) I saw that you enjoy fishing - they offer hiking, fishing, and kayaking at Wakarusa; check it out!!
